JOEL OSTEEN SHINES A POSITIVE LIGHT

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires. (2 Timothy 4:3, NASB)

Joel Osteen simply could not be a clearer example of the above Scripture. As Osteen does the circuit hawking his new book of “tell ‘em exactly what they want to hear” USA Today brings us more about “Pastor” Joel:

What you see on television is just one side of Joel Osteen.

During his weekly worldwide broadcast, the ever-smiling pastor of Houston’s mega Lakewood Church is comfortable onstage, infectiously congenial, oozing down-home charm as he makes a joke related to Scripture (Hebrews: biblical proof that the husband should make the morning coffee). (Online source)

Interesting; recently on 60 Minutes Joel Osteen was asked who gets the final say in a disagreement with his wife being “co-pastor”; itself a clear violation of the Scripture he so often ignores in his messages of cotton candy fluff. Osteen said (jokingly?), “she does.” Does anyone else recall the incident on the plane a while back?
