ANALYZE THIS PRESENT TIME

And [Jesus] was also saying to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it turns out. And when you see a south wind blowing, you say, ‘It will be a hot day,’ and it turns out that way. You hypocrites! You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time? And why do you not even on your own initiative judge what is right?” (Luke 12:54-57)

“But You Thought I Was Altogether Like You”

The way we have arrived at the sorry state of the Christian Church in allegedly postmodern and definitely pagan America can very easily be traced back to Rudolph Bultmann and his “demythologizing of the Bible.” How foolish does a person have to be to think that as a mere human being you are ever going to come even remotely close to comprehending an ultra-dimensional Self-existent Being of pure Spirit Who possesses such infinite intelligence and power that He merely spoke into being a universe of such vast proportions, that even after having hundreds of years to examine it, mankind hasn’t even begun to explore but an infinitesimally small portion of it.

And yet what has happened came about for no other reason than it is what self-ish sinful human nature wanted to be so. You see, years ago foolish church leaders in the mainline denominations—blindly following the mythology of Bultmann himself—simply began giving away their institutions, bought and paid for with money from genuine Christian people, to men who denied every doctrine the historic orthodox Christian Church ever held. And we are supposed to think that this was the superior reasoning? No, plain stupidity is more like it!

As the Holy Spirit at first grieved, and then finally withdrew, proper Biblical theology was thrown out by one of the Devil’s top deadly spiritual double play combinations. From Harry Emerson Fosdick to Norman Vincent Peale to Robert Schullerthings taught by demons were thus allowed to penetrate the slumbering evangelical community itself. And as their followers slithered in from their home in Hell the glorious and majestic image of God has been gradually changed into the earthen image of fallen man. How else do you possibly think that such a blasphemous idea as “the Big Man upstairs” (all said with “reverence” of course) made its way into a faith that originated in pious Judaism?

Are we really so spiritually obtuse now as to think that this would actually be a moniker the glorious and majestic Yahweh Elohim, the LORD God Almighty of biblical revelation, would ever be pleased with? Have we really become so shallow that we have forgotten the Third Commandment? Permit me to remind us —Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. However, for the benefit of these brazen blasphemers of today, there is another clause of this Commandment that is rarely quoted — for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain (Exodus 20:7, KJV).

It is a fact that Orthodox Judaism has even become so superstitious in this matter that a faithful Jew will not even say the word God; let alone refer to Yahweh by Name. While I do not advocate this extreme, I do pose a question: Why doesn’t the Christian today know that Almighty God literally detests being referred to as little more than a slightly improved version of man? Let me put this into perspective for you. God created mankind; who then turned from Him to follow Satan, another of the Lord’s fallen creatures, in his own rebellion, which would then end up bringing untold death and destruction into what was an idyllic paradise.

The Awful Price Of Our Sin

Man’s blatant disregard for his loving and merciful Creator would even lead to God the Father to put God the Son through the ordeal of becoming one of His Own creatures. Then after living a perfect life through the power of God the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ of Nazareth—the Son of God and the Son of Man—would be rejected, mocked, and then violently executed by these very creatures He had created in love. All this in the process undergoing the most excruciatingly painful and cruel form of death that mankind could ever think of. So I wonder; just whatever could the dreadful and awesome living God—Creator of Heaven and earth—possibly find offensive when He is referred to as the Big Man Upstairs?

These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was altogether like you. But I will rebuke you and accuse you to your face. (Psalm 50:21)

Men and women, we are literally watching the human potential movement further penetrate the Body of Christ through the major pillars of the Devil’s Ecumenical Church of Deceit (ECoD) e.g. the pragmatic Purpose Driven Church of Rick Warren; through the cult of a new and not-so-improved postliberalism of the Emergent Church, and through the gross greed of the selfish Word Faith Church ala Joel Osteen. The ECoD, the duplicitous daughter of the apostate Roman Catholicism is seducing people into interfaith/interspiritual worship through seducing spirits working through men like Dallas Willard and his Spiritual Formation friend Living Spiritual Teacher and a Quaker mystic Richard Foster and their doctrines of demons of quasi-Christian Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism.

But my belief is that Christ Jesus says to apostatizing evangelicalism — “You hypocrites! You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time? And why do you not even on your own initiative judge what is right?” For the time has come to wake up and realize that God is nothing like us at all; and the truth is, He never has been. And any Christian with even a modicum of discernment should have been able to see right through all of this repugnant man–centered on the self so-called “theology” prophesied by Satan’s shill Robert Schuller when it was first brought it into Christ’s Church. And we have only ourselves to blame for not speaking up.

Be warned beloved; the time left to speak to our Lord’s sheep who are trapped within the rapidly crumbling wreckage of the American Christian Church grows “short,” but yet we still take heart because of our Great Shepherd’s faithfulness to His Own:

And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD: Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. (Lamentations 3:18-26, KJV)
