APOSTATE ROB BELL BECOMES TV PRODUCER

It’s no secret that Apprising Ministries—one of the few online venues who would tell you the truth straight up—has been an online apologetics and discernment work used by God to track the sad decline of the rock star pastor of the Emerging Church.

This involved Rob Bell, who’s just recently stepped down as teaching pastor at Mars Hill Bible Church, which he planted—and whom—I talked about in Rob Bell: The Myth Of Mars Hill “Miracle Grow”.

We do thank you for your support and vow to fight on as long as we can considering continued falling funding. Today I point you to squishy Christianity Today and what I consider a really revealing report entitled Reports: Rob Bell Working on TV Show with Lost’s Carlton Cuse:

Rob Bell is reportedly working on a television drama called Stronger with Carlton Cuse, executive producer and screenwriter for the show Lost, according to New York magazine and Deadline.

New York’s Vulture site reports that the show will be loosely based on Bell’s life story as a musician and eventual founder of his church, Mars Hill Bible Church. (Online source)

As a former professional musician myself, who left that idolatry to follow Jesus, I offer that it’s sad that Bell would leave the pastorate of his church for a:

show [which] will feature a musician named Tom Stronger who ends up becoming a benefactor and spiritual guide, the site reports. Josef Adalian writes:

While based on biblical principles, Bell’s brand of spirituality is not about hard-core evangelical, fire-and-brimstone teachings. Instead, his goal is to service folks’ spiritual needs without the overlay of religious dogma (see also: Oprah). Stronger is similarly expected to explore spiritual themes but without being as on-the-nose as other recent series that have tackled these issues, such as 7th Heaven and Touched by an Angel.
