Apprising Ministries does think this is rather odd based upon her sinful ecumenicism. For you see, as Beth Moore describes her “vision” allegedly from God in the 2002 video clips in this post below she is actually repudiating the Protestant Reformation. This should be cause for concern; yet crickets.

Southern Baptist Beth Moore claims Jesus sees the apostate Roman Catholic Church as part of the Body of Christ. There’s no way around the fact that, since God does not change, and the Roman Catholic Church has not changed, this means the Protestant Reformers sinned against the Body of Christ.

Is Dr. Piper, who pronounces Rick Warren doctrinal and sound—and Warren also holds the same position as Beth Moore—really ok with this? Is the Gospel Coalition, of which John Piper is a member, also ok with this? As sinful syncretism spreads because of the practice of Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism, these are questions that need to be addressed.

Perhaps if “names” within the evangelical community would spend less time trying to silence “discernment bloggers,” mysterious folk who always go unnamed, and address very serious issues like the Church of Rome being mainstreamed into evangelicalism, then maybe there’d be no need for discernment blogging.
