APPRISING MINISTRIES’ LETTER TO RZIM RE. RAVI ZACHARIAS PRAISING JOYCE MEYER
By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Dec 19, 2012 in Current Issues, Features
Last night Apprising Ministries sent the following sincere inquiry to Ravi Zacharias International Ministries.
I am still awaiting a reply:
From: Ken Silva <apprisingministries@gmail.com>
Subject: Ravi Zacharias’ Appearance On Joyce Meyer’s Program
Date: December 18, 2012 9:59:21 PM EST
To: rzim@rzim.org
Hello,
A friend made me aware that Ravi Zacharias was appearing this week on Enjoying Everyday Life with Joyce Meyers.
I noticed in the first segment Zacharias was supportive and even complimentary of this Word Faith prosperity preacher.
Having formerly been involved with WF, and as one in the field of online apologetics and discernment ministry, it is an issue I needed to cover.
A reader of mine now tells me that they contacted RZIM and shared with me this following response, which they said was received from you:
While we do not usually entertain many of the comments we receive on blog postings.
We feel that a person is entitled to his or her opinion as there is great diversity in the kingdom.
My point: There is great diversity in the kingdom. Joyce Meyer has devoted her life to the preaching of the word.
She may be more eccentric than some and more charismatic than some feel comfortable with, but she has served the kingdom well in her capacity with her gifting.
I would greatly appreciate confirmation as to whether or not this is the position of RZIM on Joyce. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Ken Silva, pastor-teacher
