TSUNAMI OF PRO-HOMOSEXUAL BOOKS FROM “GAY CHRISTIANS” AND SUPPORTERS

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

The Pro-Homosexual Lobby Has Already Crossed Over From The Mainline Into The Mainstream

This is a bit of a follow up to the Apprising Ministries piece Dan Haseltine of CCM band Jars of Clay in support of Homosexual Marriage. I’m indebted to foremost Christian apologist Dr. James White of Alpha & Omega Ministries for the title of this article, though I have referred many times to a coming same-sex storm. ((e.g. in the Haseltine article and World Vision U.S. to hire “Gay Christians in Same-Sex Marriages.))

It’s also important to note here that later on April 25th Haseltine did write Reset. (Context…Tangent…Apology) where he elaborated a bit more about his initial Twitter discussion where he gave every indication he is in support of homosexual marriage.. However, I caution you to be careful with things like this.

From following this pro-homosexual agenda for many years now, e.g. Doug Pagitt and the Emerging Church Gay Agenda, I’ve had the chance to personally interact with many leaders within the Emergent Church aka the Emerging Church as you can see e.g. in Jay Bakker Critiques Ken Silva at Religion Dispatches.

I know their arguments in favor of trying to make the deviant and sinful lifestyle of having sexual relations with another of the same sex, i.e homosexuality, a viable one for the regenerated Christian. You need to realize a couple of things in this regard, 1) the EC was a test run advancing this into younger sectors of Christendom.

They have swayed to their evil position way more of your young evangelicals than you likely know. And 2) this issue is not going to go away. So, as I told you in World Vision to hire “Gay Christians in Same-Sex Marriages”in the mainline denominations such compromise of God’s Word has brought much division.

However, they are currently gaining more and more victories within those denominations; and, those advancing the pro-homosexual agenda won’t stop until they win all of these denominations mortally wounded by liberalism, which they will. Here’s what this has to do with Dan Haseltine‘s clarification as to his intent.

First of all, it needs to be considered in light of this 2012 article Dan Haseltine, Jars of Clay Bid Farewell to the Evangelical Church; and secondly, like World Vision’s next day reversal following push back, Haseltine also misjudged the level of apostasy within mainstream evangelicalism. It’s not quite ready…yet.

One day “soon” it will be as more of the younger evangelicals, brainwashed under the relentless propaganda that was pumped out by evangelical publishing houses from Emerging Church vipers like Doug Pagitt, take leadership positions. It’s only a matter of time before the pro-homosexual lobby swallows evangelicalism.

I wish I had better news; but, I’m not going to lie to you. The younger sectors are already for the acceptance of homosexual marriage while the average adult isn’t, yet. But when they do come around, you watch; World Vision and Dan Haseltine will again come out in favor of this perversion of God’s marriage covenant.

We could see a majority evangelical adults possibly arriving at this perverted position supporting homosexual marriage even as soon as a year or two. I sure do hope I’m wrong; however, I will stand by my prediction that a major evangelical figure is going to announce they are homosexual in the all-too-near future. ((I have no one in particular in mind; however, when they do come out it will detonate this debate within the heart of evangelicalism itself.))

From this point of the evangelical battlefield, now think about the timing of Waterbrook Multnomah Diving Against Itself and publishing God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships by Matthew Vines. ((This will help you understand Vines’ claim to fame: http://carm.org/matthew-vines, accessed 5/6/14.)) It doesn’t matter to homosexuals like Vines that there isn’t a Biblical case.

Though I doubt he’s even aware of it, in his book promoting homosexuality Vines ends up attempting to bring a Scriptural base to the following flight of fickle fancy by Jay Bakker. In the end, what you’ll see Bakker tell us below is actually how the pro-homosexual proponent finally arrives at their corrupt view.

I shared the following a while back e.g. in Homosexuality and Jonathan Merrit. In what Bakker claims is a personal chat with the LORD God he wants us to believe:

The more I follow grace, the more I’m drawn to him [God], the more I’m willing to stand up for people being persecuted,” said Bakker. “It sounds so churchy, but I felt like God spoke to my heart and said ‘[homosexuality] is not a sin.’ ” (source, emphasis mine)

Well, there you go; we have new Scripture. I’m afraid that, by and large, throughout evangelicalism the youth have been conditioned by postmodernism in public schools and by emerging thought that’s crept into their churches through youth pastors, youth leaders, and younger pastors, to accept “alternative lifestyles.”

It’s but a short skip through charismania and/or Contemplative Spirituality to “feeling” that God is accepting of these alternative lifestyles as well; and then, reimagining Scripture concerning homosexuality while reading this into the Bible. Evangelicalism is about to pay a huge price for sacrificing their young in the Emergent fire.

By the way, if you didn’t know, the other day Dr. Al Mohler weighed in concerning Matthew Vine’s mythology and this subject of a coming evangelical pro-homosexual agenda in The Henry search for church harmony? As I close I’m going to offer proof this has moved closer to the mainstream of evangelicalism than you may realize.

One of the pro-homosexual proponents I mentioned above that I have talked to is Dr. Tony Jones, one third of the unholy Emergent Church trinity of apostates along with his friends, universalist Emergent Church pastor Doug Pagitt, and Living Spiritual Teacher and EC guru Brian McLarenJones is also a professor at Fuller Seminary. ((http://bit.ly/1ieSefN, accessed 5/5/14.))

As you may know, Fuller is purports to be an evangelical institution. ((http://www.fuller.edu/About/Mission_and_Values/Mission_Beyond_the_Mission/, accessed 5/5/14.)) It’s about to get even worse than merely emergent Tony Jones pushing a pro-homosexual agenda, which he was very instrumental in doing as one of the first major voices to do so openly. ((I covered this e.g. in my 2009 article The New Christians with Christianity Worth Believing—No Sola Scriptura; Yes, to Women Pastors and Queer Christians.)) Now consider Jones’ post Evangelical Pastor Turns Pro-Gay.

Just a little over a month ago he would introduce us to the pastor of a Vineyard megachurch who has now gone over to the dark side on this sin of sexual immorality. We’re not surpassed to find out that Ken Wilson, the pastor in question, is deeply immersed in corrupt Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism:

Mystically Wired by Ken Wilson claims to be “a practical guide to cooperating with your brain’s innate capacities in order to experience a richer, fuller prayer life.” Wilson bases much of his doctrine of prayer on new discoveries by Andrew Newberg et al that suggests that the brain is uniquely active during prayer and meditation. Based on these findings, Wilson attempts to show why contemplative prayer practices are affective and how anyone can begin such practices…

Wilson advocates mysticism while…den[ying] being a mystic, yet he recounts a vision in which he met with Jesus in a cave and another prayer where the “presence” of his deceased father sat next to him… He claims that praying is essentially looking “inward.” This ought to be the first clue that Wilson’s prayers have very little to do with Christ.

Throughout the book, prayer is presented as a way to manipulate brain activity in order produce results. Thus, Christ is of no consequence to prayer…there is virtually no biblical foundation for Wilson’s doctrine of prayer. Though he does quote a few verses, they nothing more than weak proof-texts.

The gospel is absent. The cross is reduced down to nothing more than a “desolate place” of prayer. (source)

Tony Jones explains that :

Ken Wilson, [is] pastor of Vineyard Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan, [and] has just published a book entitled, A Letter to My Congregation, in which he explains his change of mind and heart on the issue of homosexuality. He may be the first active pastor of a large evangelical congregation to make such a switch(source, bold his)

Jones then points us to an interview Wilson did with “David Crumm at Read the Spirit” (RtS). In Rob Bell Affirms Gay “Christians” & Brian McLaren is Really Happy about it I told you that it was nearly five years ago when I first talked to you about  David Crumm and his RtS website in Is Rob Bell Evangelical?

RtS truly is an interspiritual black hole of heresy. Lord willing, another time we’ll look further into Ken Wilson since he isn’t the subject of this article. While I would not recommend the Vineyard denomination, I brought this up because now we have moved the emerging arena right into the mainstream of evangelicalism.

In fact, Wilson’s turned A Letter to my Congregation (ALC) into a book on this subject, published by Crumm’s Read the Spirit publishing, and complete with an introduction from his friend Phyllis Tickle, the Empress of Emergent. Tickle calls Ken Wilson’s ALC:

One of the most exquisite, painful, candid, brilliant pieces of Christian midrash I’ve ever seen. ((Ken Wilson,  A Letter to my Congregation [Canton: David Crumm Media, LLC, 2014], back cover.))

This is how far afield Ken Wilson’s willing to go to advance an unbiblical homosexual agenda, and how close this all is moving toward your evangelical church. For your further edification on this coming same-sex storm, below I’ll leave you with the April 23rd version of Dr. James White’s Dividing Line program.

It’s taken from his blog post The Tsunami of Pro-Homosexual Books from “Gay Christians” and Their Supporters Plus Calls on Today’s Dividing Line. As I pointed out above, for years I’ve been covering this subject of a growing acceptance within Christendom of homosexuality being practiced by professing Christians.

So, I offer that this program is well worth your time:
