Apprising Ministries has been warning here that a very dark and deviant same sex storm is reaching hurricane force and is only slightly off the coast of the mainstream evangelical community. That’s why I wrote Miley Cyrus And Gay Marriage; while I don’t consider her a Christian, her views do represent young evangelicals.

It’s likely not very long before the evil aggressive pro-homosexual agenda launches a full-on assault upon evangelicalism because they know its leaders are just way, way, too timid to stand up to them. In addition, its main ally the Emerging Church has already softened up evanjellyfish’s younger sectors.

A couple of years ago I discussed this further in Doug Pagitt And The Emerging Church Gay Agenda; it’s a major EC area of concern. Such as these postmodern neo-liberals, in lockstep with their evil forebears, are pushing for the deviant lifestyle of unrepentant homosexuality to be accepted as viable for even the evangelical Christian.

In fact one of the first EC leaders to come out, in full on support of this, was Fuller Theological Seminary professor Dr. Tony Jones; apostate progressive “theologian in residence” at his “pastor” Pagitt’s gathering. And a couple of years ago I already showed you that Doug Pagitt And His Solomon’s Porch Affirm Homosexual Sin.

So warped is FTS professor Jones that last year Tony Jones Argues For Open Marriage And Polyamory. That’s why it’s no surprise that today Jones would tweet:

That link takes us over to Tony Jones’ blog and his post There’s a Queer Underground at Biola where he informs us:

The purveyors of the website The Biola Queer Underground and [sic] contacted me, hoping that students and alumni of Biola who read my blog would speak out in support of them. (source)

It turns out the same-sex storm is heading for Biola University, “a private Christian university located in Southern California. For over 100 years, Biola — a community where all faculty, staff and students are professing Christian.”[1] Now BU has seen this slither into its midst:

As we follow back the link that’s in Jones’ tweet we find Response to “Biola University Statement on Human Sexuality “ where we can see that the pro-homosexual lobby, per its usual modus operandi, is now attempting to stir up division at BU:

Please understand that this discussion is not an abstract subject for us. Our sexual and gender identities, which are integral to who we are, are being questioned in terms of their morality. The university’s upcoming decisions will affect our daily lives, education and, consequentially, our financial security; we take none of this lightly.

The recently published policy, eighteen months in the making, did not bring change except to make it clearer that Biola views “any acts of sexual intimacy between two persons of the same sex as an illegitimate moral option for the confessing Christian.” It did not even attempt to address those with transgender or other non-conforming gender identities.

Nor did it speak to the consequences for those who do not view their own or other’s homosexuality as “a struggle to maintain sexual purity.” (source)

Best get ready, this will be happening with increasing rapidity within more and more mainstream evangelical institutions. Years of EC propaganda aimed at younger sectors of the professing Christian community and the introduction of corrupt Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism have kicked out the key pillar of sola Scriptura.

So now people are deciding critical issues like this by their feelings; not by what God has said in His Word, the Bible. The Biola Queer Underground is reacting to this:

As you can see, this is framed correctly. God’s design for marriage is one man to one woman; as such then, all sexual relations between members of the same sex will always happen outside the bounds of marriage and therefore remains the sin of sexual immorality. May God grant this Biola Queer Underground repentance.

You see, looming only slightly off the horizon of the mainstream evangelical community there is indeed a same-sex storm that’s right now gathering hurricane force.

Let me also tell you that the evil influence of the Emerging Church[1] is really going to be felt in the arena of a growing acceptance within evangelicalism that the deviant and sinful lifestyle of having sexual relations with another of the same sex, i.e homosexuality, is a viable one for the regenerated Christian.

The core EC doctrine of pietistic Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM)[2] has horribly corrupted younger sectors of evangelicalism, which have now largely abandoned the proper Christian spirituality of sola Scriptura. Unfortunately, once one does this, fallen human reasoning becomes the only criterion left when it comes to judging whether or not God has spoken.

If you want to know where the battle lines will be drawn, then take a good look at the mortally wounded mainline denominations who long ago gave in to the Cult of Liberalism and kicked out sola Scriptura as well. Behold the new progressive/liberal rebels against the authority of the Bible masquerading as evangelicals like gay-affirming “pastor” Jay Bakker[3].

You need to know that Bakker, who is good friends with EC guru Brian McLaren and EC progressive theologian Tony Jones[4], is the tip-of-the-spear for this EC area of attack upon proper Biblical Christianity. He’s also a perfect example of the new Morris Alpert “nothing more than feelings” theology that’s fast becoming such an integral part of mainstream evangelcalism.

Now we’re on the proper part of the battlefield for me to show you that a few days ago Southern Baptist megapastor Rick Warren would tweet to Dr. Al Mohler, also SBC:

Those tweets by Rick Warren would then cause Christian Post to get involved with Warren Asks Mohler to Apologize for Megachurch Headline. Well, as a former Roman Catholic and fellow Southern Baptist with Al Mohler and Rick Warren, I’m asking Warren to apologize for his sinful ecumenicism, which I document once again in Rick Warren And Teachings Of Demons.

Somehow, even though it’s also a mega issue, I doubt that will make its way into CP. But be that as it may, this all actually started with another Southern Baptist pastor by the name of Andy Stanley. You may know he’s the son of über-popular former two-time SBC president Dr. Charles Stanley. However, what you may not know is that Andy Stanley’s most certainly no lightweight.

In fact, Stanley’s a major player in the Seeker Driven set and a pastor to his protégé prophet-pastors such as Steven Furtick. As that CP story points out, Mohler expressed:

concerns over a recent message preached by Andy Stanley, pastor of North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Ga. As he described the account of a gay couple, Stanley mentioned the sin of adultery (one partner was still married to his wife) but did not affirm the sinfulness of homosexuality.

“The inescapable impression left by the account was that the sin of concern was adultery, but not homosexuality,” Mohler wrote, adding that he hopes Stanley will clarify his view on the issue. (Online source)

The sermon in question, When Gracie Met Truthy, is part 5 of his Christian series and was preached on 4/15/12. More on that in a moment. First, because Stanley’s very highly respected in that attractional megachurch set Mohler’s post was titled Is The Megachurch the New Liberalism? In it Al Mohler noted:

The emergence of the megachurch as a model of metropolitan ministry is one of the defining marks of evangelical Christianity in the United States. (Online source)

After providing some history and background of the megachurch Mohler begins to look at theology. He points out:

One megachurch pastor in Florida recently told me that the megachurches in his area were abandoning concern for biblical gender roles on a wholesale basis. As one pastor told him, you cannot grow a church and teach biblical  complementarianism. Even greater pressure is now exerted by the sexual revolution in general, and, more particularly, the question of homosexuality. (Online source)

Well, we’re already beginning to see ostensibly conservative attractional churches rejecting the Biblical teaching concerning pastors, e.g. Word Faith Pastrix Christine Caine Preaches Sunday Morning Sermon For Steven Furtick. Mohler then uses the issue of divorce to inform us that in many megachurches, “Church discipline disappeared and personal autonomy reigned triumphant.”

He then asks a key question:

Is the same pattern now threatening on the issue of homosexuality? No congregation will escape this question, but the megachurches are, once again, on the leading edge. (Online source)

This brings Mohler around to the aforementioned sermon by Andy Stanley. Mohler writes:

A shot now reverberating around the evangelical world was fired by Atlanta megachurch pastor Andy Stanley in recent days. Preaching at North Point Community Church,… Early in the message he spoke of homosexuals in attendance, mentioning that some had shared with him that they had come to North Point because they were tired of messages in gay-affirming churches that did nothing but affirm homosexuality. (Online source)

At first this might seem odd to you; but having much experience in dealing with the pro-homosexual lobby I can tell you that some so-called gay Christians have rather novel ways of interpreting Scripture so as to make it seem as if the Bible itself affirms homosexual behavior. So, for these practicing LGBT people, they prefer a more conservative church than those in liberal mainline denominations.

Mohler then turns to the section of Andy Stanley’s sermon which you’ll be able to watch for yourself in the video clip below:

in the most intense part of his message, Stanley told the congregation an account meant to illustrate his message. He told of a couple with a young daughter who divorced when the wife discovered that the husband was in a sexual relationship with another man. The woman then insisted that her former husband and his gay partner move to another congregation.

They did move, but to another North Point location, where they volunteered together as part of a “host team.” The woman later told Andy Stanley that her former husband and his partner were now involved as volunteers in the other congregational location.

The story took a strange turn when Stanley then explained that he had learned that the former husband’s gay partner was still married. Stanley then explained that the partner was actually committing adultery, and that the adultery was incompatible with his service on a host team. Stanley told the two men that they could not serve on the host team so long as the one man was still married.

He later told of the former wife’s decision not to live in bitterness, and of her initiative to bring the whole new family structure to a Christmas service. This included the woman, her daughter, her former husband, his gay partner, and his daughter. Stanley celebrated this new “modern family” as an expression of forgiveness. (Online source)

Now Mohler does mention that Stanley did share “Christ’s death for sinners,” however Stanley:

told the congregation that Jesus does not condemn them, even if they cannot or do not leave their life of sin. Declaring the death of Christ as atonement for sin is orthodox Christianity and this declaration is essential to the Gospel of Christ.

The problem was that Stanley never mentioned faith or repentance — which are equally essential to the Gospel. There is indeed no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, but this defines those who have acted in repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21). As for those who are not in Christ, they stand condemned already (John 3:18). (Online source)

If that wasn’t bad enough on Stanley’s part Mohler correctly tells us:

The most puzzling and shocking part of the message was the illustration and the account of the homosexual couple, however. The inescapable impression left by the account was that the sin of concern was adultery, but not homosexuality. Stanley clearly and repeatedly stressed the sin of adultery, but then left the reality of the homosexual relationship between the two men unaddressed as sin.

To the contrary, he seemed to normalize their relationship. They would be allowed to serve on the host team if both were divorced. The moral status of their relationship seemed to be questioned only in terms of adultery, with no moral judgment on their homosexuality. (Online source)

Mohler goes on to make another very important point concerning liberalism, and as he does, you should see the clear parallel with Seeker Driven attractional methodology:

One of those temptations is to use to use the argument that our message has to change in order to reach people. This was the impetus of theological liberalism’s origin. Liberals such as Harry Emerson Fosdick claimed that the Christian message would have to change or the church would lose all intellectual credibility in the modern world. Fosdick ended up denying the Gospel and transforming the message of the Cross into psychology.

Norman Vincent Peale came along and made this transformation even more appealing to a mass audience. Fosdick and Peale have no shortage of modern heirs. Theological liberalism did not set out to destroy Christianity, but to save it from itself. Is the same temptation now evident?

As far as I’m concerned the answer is: Absolutely. That’s why those with ears that hear and hearts that understand can see that the worldly pragmatism of the Seeker Driven camp and the postmodern neo-liberalism of the Emergent one are but two sides of the same man-centered coin. Consider the following from when Andy Stanley and his father Charles shared a platform at the Southern Baptist Pastors Conference in June of 2010.

There the younger Stanley discussed his pragmatic Church Growth Movement business model approach to church:

Andy recalled when, in the early 1990s, the Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A restaurants were facing stiff competition from the upstart Boston Market. Chick-fil-A leaders were trying to figure out how Chick-fil-A could get bigger, faster. Company founder Truett Cathy pounded on the table and said, “I am sick and tired of listening to you talk about how we can get bigger. If we get better, our customers will demand we get bigger.”

Applying Cathy’s prescription to church growth, Stanley said that getting better, and ultimately bigger, requires evaluation and clarification. “I think the local church should be the best-run organization in your town,” he said, because the church is “the vehicle through which the gospel is fed to and communicated to the whole world.”

Stanley cited the Intel Corporation, whose ever-escalating battle with Japanese companies in manufacturing computer chips ultimately caused the company to diversify and stop making the component. Intel leaders realized they needed to abandon their emotional attachment to what they’d always done and if they didn’t, they’d soon be out of the computer chip business.

Stanley lamented that “we fall in love with the way we do ministry.” (Online source)

In closing this, for now, Lord willing another time we may return to look at this segment below from the sermon in question in more depth. As you view it you can make up your own mind. In this clip Stanley first implies that Jesus was confused and conflicted; but leaving that aside, as I carefully evaluated this message, I came to the conclusion that Al Mohler’s assessment above is dead-on-target:

More on Philip Yancey in a moment, but first, I remind you again that AM is doing what we can to alert spiritually obtuse pretending to be Protestant evangelicals to the grave dangers and deceptions of embracing the Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM) perpetrated by Living Spiritual Teacher and Quaker mystic Richard Foster, along with his friend and spiritual twin SBC minister Dallas Willard, as so-called Spiritual Formation (SF). Why do I bring this up; simple, because CSM is nothing more than refried Roman Catholic mysticism with its pietism and asceticism romanticized for those who are ignorant of Church history.

With this in mind I will also tell you again, plainly, that this spurious CSM found its way into mainstream evangelicalism through its foolish embrace of the sinfully ecumenical Emergent Church aka Emerging Church, a neo-liberal cult now operating within it. The EC’s postmodern form of “big tent” Emergence Christianity is the putrid spiritual fruit of critical thinking skills-numbing CSM. As I shared before concerning Yancey, at her More Books and Things blog Carla brings us another case in point as to how far this counter-Reformation spirituality has already spread into mainstream evangelicalism.

When Yancey was asked, “Which writers most influenced your thinking about prayer,” Carla tells us he replied:

No Protestants come to mind, to be honest, so, much I have learned about prayer is from the Catholics. One book I discovered was by Mark Phibido, called, Arm Chair Mystic. Of course, if you want to go deeper, there’s Thomas Merton… (Online source)

The point here is, in Philip Yancey, again we have an alleged evangelical Protestant—and he’s hardly alone—going to apostate Roman Catholic mystics to learn about prayer. Silly Reformers, now why didn’t they think of that? Answer: They were living with the fetid fruit produced by this centered of the self spirituality and the Lord Himself moved these men to bring His Church back to His Word. In other words, this CSM is a major reason why the Protestant Reformation came about in the first place; and if you think Jesus is leading you while you practice this Counter Reformation CSM, then you seriously need to have your spiritual head examined.

Yancey is fast becoming a vivid illustration of how learning from apostate Roman Catholicism will quickly pull you away from sola Scriptura to a squishy personally feelings-oriented, i.e. sola experientia. It seems to be forgotten that the Roman Catholic Church has anathematized the actual Gospel itself. Now let’s consider the following from Dr. Gary Gilley’s review of one of Yancey’s books:

Yancey has a fundamental flaw that runs throughout all of his writings — he doesn’t always draw his thoughts and principles from Scripture. His sources are more likely to be great saints from the past (occasionally from the present), his own reasoning, and experience. He surely quotes C.S. Lewis as often as the Apostle Paul or Jesus. And while Lewis and others may offer helpful insights, their words are not authoritative. This serious flaw of not basing his concepts squarely upon the Scriptures eventually leads Yancey astray. Yancey does not know the difference between:

• Tolerance and arrogance, between grace and license (a study of I Cor 5 would be helpful to him).
• Between boldness and harshness. By Yancey’s definitions John the Baptist and Elijah would be men of “ungrace”, but God did not seem to think so.
• Ministering to sinners and condoning sinful lifestyles. Certainly Jesus loved and spent time with prostitutes, but he did so to call them to repentance, not to accept their way of living. Yancey’s method of dealing with a homosexual, who is also a church leader, may seem like grace to him, it may seem like what Jesus might do, but it is clearly out of sync with the teachings and examples of Scripture. (Online source)

Well, other than that the influence of Roman Catholic mystics haven’t really affected Yancey’s false view of God. Note that Dr. Gilley brings out the heart of the matter: “Yancey’s method of dealing with a homosexual, who is also a church leader, may seem like grace to him, it may seem like what Jesus might do, but it is clearly out of sync with the teachings and examples of Scripture.” This is also typical of those who practice and/or are influenced by CSM: Highly subjective feelings, and what someone feels the Lord seems to be saying, take precedence over the final authority of the text of the Bible, where we can know for sure what God has said.

It’s not like we don’t have the Roman Catholic Church itself, and then its ugly stepchild in the foolish mainline denominations who embraced these so-called disciplines of CSM around the same time as the charimatic renewal circa the 1960′s. Just take a look at what the evil, and very divisive, homosexual lobby is doing to the mortally wounded mainline denominations right now. It is quite literally ripping them apart. Here I’m warning again, people really need to understand that there’s a very dark and threatening same-sex storm—now rapidly approaching hurricane force—looming just off the coast of possibly your own local church.

A couple of years ago the Christian News service One News Now filed this report:

A conservative activist is questioning some of the conclusions Christian researcher George Barna reached in his “Spiritual Profile of Homosexual Adults.”

The new Barna survey of homosexual adults finds that 27 percent qualify as born-again Christians and 43 percent have an “orthodox, biblical perception of God.” According to Barna, “People who portray gay adults as godless, hedonistic, Christian bashers are not working with the facts.

A substantial majority of gays cite their faith as a central facet of their life, consider themselves to be Christian, and claim to have some type of meaningful personal commitment to Jesus Christ active in their life today.”… (Online source)

Well, Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons can cite precisely the same thing, and they also consider themselves Christians with an even more meaningful personal commitment to a Jesus than you do. 2 Corinthians 11:4 is crystal clear in that it’s quite possible to have “faith” in another Jesus. Here, see for yourself; the truth is, there are many of them — Will The Real Jesus Please Stand Up?

Before we trot out cries of a false analogy, here’s something you need to very carefully consider. Someone who tries to make the claim that the Bible teaches the unrepentant practice of sexual immorality with a member of the same sex—which is precisely what homosexuality is—should be not considered sin, are themselves, worshiping a god every bit as false as any non-Christian cult or false religion out there.

Again, I’m warning you to brace for a tsunami of apostasy likely to pound the coast when the evil aggressive pro-homosexual agenda launches a full-on assault upon evangelicalism because they know its leaders are way too timid to stand up to them. In addition, its main ally the Emerging Church has already softened up evanjellyfish’s younger sectors. They began to do so through opening them up to corrupt Counter Reformation Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM).

This had a two-pronged effect; first of all, it blew up the pillar of sola Scriptura, which allowed postmodern fog to spread while CSM killed critical thinking skills. Now the younger and weaker sheep were defenseless as the EC began its relentless bombardment of mainstream evangelical Young Adult and Youth ministries with their pro-homosexual propaganda. That’s why I recently covered Miley Cyrus And Gay Marriage, which I took some friendly fire for doing.

Let me explain something; I don’t personally consider people like Cyrus or Heidi Montag, who was also mentioned in that prior piece, to be genuine Christians. However, 1) they themselves do profess to be, 2) many people do consider them such, and 3) this is a good example of the prevailing politically correct pro-homosexual supposedly evangelical witness among celebrities. Don’t kid yourself into thinking this isn’t also the dominant view of the young in your church.

Now we add to this spurious CSM, and its antibiblical fruit, has so saturated evanjellyfish that we’re witnessing a new “theology by liver shiver.” So e.g. we see James Robison And Rick Warren Working To Reverse The Protestant Reformation. As well as this lunacy in the Lord’s Name: James Robison Says Jesus Is In The Heart Of Mormon Glenn Beck. There you’ll hear Robison tell us, “Because he says he loves Jesus, I believe Jesus has come into his heart.” In other words, Robison has decided Beck is a Christian based upon his feelings.

Ok, I wonder how Robison and others with liver shiver theology are going to deal with people as in this video clip below. I must humbly suggest that you seriously begin asking yourself, now that more and more people are conditioned to reject sola Scriptura (same as those in mainline denominations once were), just how it is that you plan to respond when openly homosexual “Christ-followers” are held up as acceptable role models for your own Christian youth. Such is the case with this video interview to follow.

The interview was conducted by Alexis “Lexi” Allen for her The Lexi Show and appeared on The Word Network, which also features many of the same ol’ quasi-Christian Word Faith flakes that you’ll find peddling their spiritual snake oil on the Trinity Blasphemy Broadcasting Network. You’re about to meet openly homosexual “Bishop” O.C. Allen III, pastor of something called The Vision Church of Atlanta (VC) and his partner Rashad Burgess, who is referred to as “The First G,” which is short for The First Gentleman:

If you didn’t know, in urban circles it’s customary to refer to the pastor’s wife as The First Lady; hence Burgess’ moniker. As you’ll hear, this social club—it’s not actually a church by Biblical standards—was begun in the couple’s living room. At the time this is written I couldn’t get the VC website to open so from it’s You Tube channel we find out it’s allegedly:

a vibrant, active and diverse congregation. We are a community rooted in worship, fellowship, diversity, witness, spiritual development, service and justice. The Vision Church congregation offers all people the opportunity to explore and discover their destiny within the context of a safe and nurturing Christ-centered community. (Online source)

Discovering destiny sounds a lot like Saddleback Church of Rick Warren; and since VC is also billing itself as “Christ-centered” it seems the James Robison liver shiver crowd will now have to believe Jesus has also come into the hearts of Messrs. Allen and Burgess even in the midst of their flagrant unrepentant sexual immorality, no? Such is the slippery slope more and more in the mainstream are on when they decide doctrine by feelings instead of Scripture.

Upon what basis can a James Robison accept a pagan idolator like Glenn Beck as a Christian brother and not also accept homosexual fornicators like Allen and Burgess as well? However, Jesus hasn’t changed His mind; He’s clearly told us, and no matter how nice they may be — You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22). And further:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

In this time of timid tolerance and liver shiver theology you can imagine what’s going to happen to faithful Christians who stand upon the Rock of God’s Word while so-called Christ-followers cower before the world…and sooner than we know:

 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. (2 Timothy 3:12)

So much for the phony messages of attractional Prophet-Führers of God’s wonderful dream for your life…

Response: we really don’t even need a controversial issue. All human beings, apart from grace, are in bondage to sin and cannot do otherwise.

You were born with the inability to perfectly obey the 10 commandments. And are you saying now that a person can come to faith apart from grace, and apart from the work of the Holy Spirit? Being “born this way” does not alleviate us or responsibility.

If you can obey all of God’s commands by yourself, with your own boasted free will, apart from grace, then you frankly don’t need Christ, and could save yourself. Christ came precisely because we cannot help ourselves. It is a matter of mercy. Consider this example: if you borrowed $100 million from the bank to start a new company and instead you squandered it all in a week of wild living in Las Vegas.

Does your inability to repay the bank alleviate you of the responsibility to do so? No of course not. Likewise we all fell in Adam and are responsible for all of our subsequent sins. Our inability to lift a finger toward our salvation, after the fall, does not alleviate us from the responsibility to obey. Otherwise, using your logic, God would be obligated to forgive us all because the fall rendered us morally impotent.

But this simply is not the case. When God shows ill-deserving sinners that, from our own natural resources we cannot obey His commands (Rom 3:19, 20; 1 Cor 2:14), we then, by grace, turn to God for mercy. And yet God is not obligated to save anyone. He would be just to send us all to the lake of fire. But he has mercy on many in Jesus Christ, in spite of our rebellion.

‎”No man can come to Me unless the Father who send Me draw him” – John 6:44 …. Take a look just before this verse (44) to verse 37 which is in the same context …. it says “ALL THAT THE FATHER GIVES TO BE WILL COME TO ME.” Not some but ALL. This means that ALL persons that the Father draws will believe. Come to me means believe in me. This create a syllogism which makes the non-Reformed understanding of the verse, frankly, untenable.

As we have been studying over the last several months, genuine Christians are not “of this world.” We are new creations under a new covenant, a better covenant. However, many try to blend what is in the Old Covenant and the Mosaic Covenant with what is in the New Covenant causing much confusion. A close study of Matthew 5, 6, & 7 shows that those bought with a price, those in the New Covenant, are not here on this Earth to occupy it, subdue it, or transform it. No, we are here as witnesses of the Gospel and to give an account of the hope that is within us to those still in their sins. God will draw some of them to himself through this and of these, we make disciples. As we study our role in world as our Lord and the writers of the New Testament reveal it, we see that we only are conquerors in the Spiritual sense while it will appear that the evil of this world, even that which pretends to be Christian, but is not, will appear to be victorious to most.

In the passage from 1 Corinthians 6, which I placed at the top of this post, our brother, the Apostle Paul tells us not to become partakers with ways of the world. Those he wrote to were even going so far as to bring civil suit against one another in the courts, that is, before unbelievers. In v7 he says, “To have lawsuits at with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?” There you go! That is the difference between those in Christ and those still in their sins. Our focus as we mature must become more and more eternal rather than secular. Also, it is better to suffer loss to another brother rather than haul that brother before a secular court. Involving ourselves that way with the unrighteous is making us partners with evil. He makes that clear what that means in vv9-10, but he also graciously makes it clear in v11 that these very same believers were once partakers of those very same sins, but now they are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Earlier this month, on December 7^th, in Geneva, Switzerland, President Barak Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presented to the world their intent to force the gay agenda upon all countries. Here is the link to the article. My brethren, I do not like to get involved in political discussions and I do not intend to mix that with what we do here, but as a warning to you, I brought this up so that you would understand that the political leadership of the United States of America is evil personified. This agenda of theirs to push for “gay rights” is anti-Christian. It is an attack on what God has ordained as what marriage is and what it is not. The Word of God clearly shows that homosexuality is a sin. There can be no compromise between the “gay agenda” and genuine Christianity. Why? It is because what it stands for is evil, those who support it are evil, and those who are guilty of not standing firm against evil will be held accountable before God.

The political process is just a lot of spin with the media trying to manipulate people into getting their favorites elected without it looking like that is what they are doing. Only a doofus cannot see that. The conservatives compromise to look good to the media. It is sickening. I just do not watch television much anymore. Why would I want to be brainwashed by evil personified?

Apprising Ministries has been attempting to alert you over the past few months, e.g. in pieces like Doug Pagitt And Homosexual Sin and Jay Bakker Critiques Ken Silva At Religion Dispatches , to the evil pro-homosexual agenda slithering within the neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church aka the Emerging Church.

You need to know that this movement, which is now regrouping in an attempt gain more strength, has already penetrated deeply into mainstream evangelicalism—metastasizing as a spiritual cancer carried by corrupt critical-thinking killing Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM).

So I continue warning you that you really do need to understand there’s a very dark and threatening same-sex storm—now rapidly approaching hurricane force—looming just off the coast of your own local evangelical church. My advice is to get yourself prepare for more stories like this one.

Only in the very near future—in evangelical churches closer to you than you may believe—the result will be reversed. I point you now to an Associated Baptist Press piece Gay-marriage stand costs pastor his pulpit. There we’re informed:

An Australian Baptist pastor and his congregation have parted company over the issue of gay marriage. Matt Glover, pastor of Lilydale Baptist Church, said recently on a marriage-equality website  that allowing same-sex marriages would benefit marriage as an institution:

“When a couple want to be part of the institution of marriage, when they fully accept the same rights and responsibilities of marriage and treat marriage with the respect it deserves, why should they NOT get married?” he asked. “As a Christian minister, I believe that marriage is under threat from many angles, but also believe that recognizing same-sex unions will help return marriage to its rightful place in society.” (Online source)

Very people-friendly; very politically correct. But here’s what Jesus says of such hirelings posing as pastors —  They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. (1 John 4:5) Now notice the division Glover’s groveling had:

That prompted two months of congregational turmoil that ended with a closed-door meeting that the pastor was not invited to attend, the Victoria Age reported  Dec. 6. Church leaders told the newspaper that Glover is no longer senior pastor but the congregation was instructed not to comment. (Online source)

Here we see another illustration of how those pushing this pro-homosexual agenda upon the Christian community are the ones sowing confusion and division. Let me show you something that’s been turned backward due to all the emerging postmodern pandering to unbelievers. Consider this from God’s Word:

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:7-10)

Did you catch that; our first responsibilty is to our fellow believers, God’s chosen people. Martin Luther’s comment is helpful here:

In this verse the Apostle summarizes his instructions on the proper support of the ministers and of the poor. He paraphrases the words of Christ: “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4)

Our good deeds are to be directed primarily at those who share the Christian faith with us, “the household of faith,” as Paul calls them, among whom the ministers rank first as objects of our well doing.[1]

Forget the foolish charge that saying so means we don’t care about our fellow man. Jesus commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves; and so we do. The problem is rooted in the fact that today, largely through the infection of corrupt Counter Reformation Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism, mankind is falling in love with…itself (cf. 2 Timothy 3:2).

This leads to misunderstanding of the mission of the Christian church, which is evangelism. Glover shows us he doesn’t understand that when he sings the same old tired emerging postmodern theme song:

Glover said keeping up with rapid changes in culture was a key issue facing the church. “We don’t have to embrace everything that comes our way, but we do need to recognize that our people live, work and play in this culture and our efforts at discipleship must meet them there,” he said.

“Issues like sexuality, mental health and relationships in all their forms can’t be ignored, but they can’t be simplified either. They are complex and we need to think them through carefully, acknowledging our history and tradition, but also with the courage to step outside of our comfort zones when we need to.” (Online source)

It’s time for Christians to remind such as these that “changes in culture” have absolutely nothing to do with the mission Jesus has given His Church, whihc is summed up in —  “As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you” (John 20:21). Contrary to popular culture, Jesus was not a social reformer.

The fact is, “Issues like sexuality, mental health and relationships” etc. will be positively impacted as a by-product of preaching the Gospel of forgiveness of sins in Jesus Name. In other words, if we want a better world we preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified and let God convert people:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

You need to remember that same-sex marrige is an oxymoron. Our Creator defines marriage as exclusively between a man and a woman:

He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19:4-6)

It couldn’t be clearer…if one actually believe what the Bible says. The pro-homosexual lobby simply does not…

Be aware that the EC’s “big tent” postmodern form of Progressive Christianity aka Emergence Christianity is a whole lot closer to the center of increasingly inclusive evangelicalism than you may even know; particularly so in your younger sectors. This Liberalism 2.0 de-formation of the Christian faith has been attacking the cardinal doctrine of sola Scriptura in the mainstream for years now, which is why you’re finding yourself having a hard time understanding some of the things your pastor’s preaching and some of the new programs you’ve seen coming into your own local church.

As more and more of mainstream evangelicalism embraces the warped philosophy (it’s not a theology) of this egregiously ecumenical anti-Chrstianity within the Emerging Church—and it will—one is then simply left with their feelings, i.e. your fallen corrupt human reasoning, as a guide in spiritual matters. Here now further example of where this always leads; and to see, one need only look at how the uber-divisive pro-gay lobby has quite literally torn apart the mainline denominations. We have yet another vivid illustration below from a Christian Post piece PCUSA Votes to Allow Openly Gay Clergy, which ran back on May 11.

It really came as no surprise today when Dinesh Ramde of the Associated Press informs us that in the no longer Christian PCUSA:

A Wisconsin man who left his Presbyterian ministry in California more than 20 years ago after telling his  congregation that he is gay was welcomed back into the church leadership  on Saturday as its first openly gay ordained minister.

In a quavering voice ripe with emotion, the Rev. Scott Anderson told the hundreds of friends and backers who packed Covenant Presbyterian Church in Madison for his ordination ceremony that he never thought the day would come.

“To the thousands of Presbyterians who have worked and prayed for almost 40 years for this day, I give  thanks,” Mr. Anderson, 56, said. “And I give thanks for those who disagree with  what we’re doing today yet who know that we are one in Jesus Christ.”

When he was presented to the crowd, audience members gave him a thunderous standing ovation and began roaring with cheers.

“That was very atypical of Presbyterians,” Doug Poland, an elder at Covenant, told the Wisconsin State Journal. “Usually our hands are in our laps.”

Mr. Anderson  was closeted when he served as a minister in Sacramento, Calif., from  1983 until 1990. When a couple threatened to reveal his sexual  orientation, he came out to his congregation and resigned because the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) barred homosexuals from serving as ministers.

But  things changed last year when the church’s national assembly voted to  remove the ban, clearing the way for Mr. Anderson’s ordination. (Online source)

Sorry, but if you are living in persistent, unrepentant sin, we are not one in Jesus Christ. Repent, turn from your sin, embrace Jesus Christ in submissive faith as Savior and Lord.

However, 1) they themselves do profess to be, 2) many people do consider them such, and 3) this is a good example of the pro-gay evangelical witness among celebrities.

It’s also a vivid picture of where much of the younger sectors of evangelicalism already stands. For example, we’ll consider the Emerging Church of apostate universalist “pastor” Doug Pagitt.

You’ll see in Doug Pagitt And Homosexual Sin that his Solomon’s Porch, where equally heretical Dr. Tony Jones is the progressive “theologian in residence,” indeed Solomon’s Porch Affirms Homosexual Sin.

The neo-liberal cult of Emergence Christianity operating within the Emerging Church is aggressively trying to make the deviant lifestyle of unrepentant homosexuality acceptable even for a Christian.

With this in mind, I point you to the fine work Gay Christian Movement Watch and Gay churchfest features ‘Sunday Best’ winner LeAndria Johnson. We’re informed:

If you are a gospel music idol worshipper, you won’t like this. If you are one of those deceived false converts who believe homosexuals have place in God’s house, you won’t like this either. And finally if you are a fearful of standing for holiness, you definitely won’t like this. Perhaps at this point, you should just exit this story. Despite all the feel good goobley-gook that is called preaching in the contemporary church, GCM Watch apologetically holds up God’s standard. Let God be true and every man a liar.

The homosexual churchfest is back in the spotlight. Each year, you can count on some misguided gospel industry worker to show up to collect a check “minister”…

In short, the storyline goes like this: the gay church people wave money but obfuscate their real agenda. Gospel music industry booking agents, hungry to keep their client in the spotlight and get paid, grab the gay church money. No mention of gay church appearances is made on client’s website. When GCM Watch shines attention on the dirty deeds, managers claim ignorance, gospel music industry workers claim ignorance or feign “ministry”. Gay church stands by and snicker like alley cats. And around and around we go with all the gay church-gospel music drama.

So, here we are again.

We can now add LeAndria Johnson to the list of the fallen ones. Johnson is the “Season 3″ winner of BET’s top money making gospel blackface show Sunday’s Best. Johnson is the second winner of the show to matriculate into the gay churchworld. But is that any surprise that SB is cranking out gay church performers?…

Leandria Johnson performed at TD Jakes so-called leadership conference in March. She also performed at Dorinda Clark Cole’s music conference. If we really want to know why homosexuality and the spirit of perversion is so strong in the church, the blame is squarely at the feet of so called leaders who have opened the doors of God’s house of prayer and made it into a den of sexual perversion.
