SOMETIMES IT’S O SO GOOD…
By Apprising Administrator on Aug 7, 2006 in Current Issues
I offer this with A sincere thanks to those who follow the work here Apprising Ministries and especially so for the few who help with some financial support for this important labor in Christ. Because of your faithful prayers and support I was able to have the time to be available for ministry here. Today there is so much “lunacy in Lord” going on within the Body of Christ that makes this kind of discernment work very difficult. However, sometimes it’s o so good because God still breaks right through it and encourages us that this labor in Christ is certainly worth it!
Recently I was led across the site of 22 year old Alex Leung of Toronto, ON, Canada. I noticed that he was apologizing for giving out Velvet Elvis by Emergent Church “communicator” Rob Bell as a gift because the Lord had helped him have a change in heart about its convoluted contents. I felt moved in the Spirit to write Alex a note of encouragement in his comments section and tell him how proud I was that he would have the integrity to offer such a great testimony of the God’s faithfulness.
This would lead to our having a wonderful discussion later that day via email. Alex would later write a very nice post at his own website which he has graciously given me permission to share with the readers of AM as well as at Slice of Laodicea. For those who wonder about the Lord’s use of these kinds of forums such as websites and blogs to bring His scattered children together then I ask you to consider this. Here I am a 51 year old pastor in Claremont, New Hampshire whom God has now given the privilege to encourage and teach a 22 year old young man in Toronto.
Today Alex told me: “You are very much welcome to share our mutually edifying interaction on Slice I think it’d be a blessing to Christ’s blood-bought church and glorifying to our Father in Heaven! I hope you wouldn’t mind if I share more details of our discussions on sixsteps as well. I honestly don’t have much if any interactions with pastors who proclaim and live out their belief in Sola Scriptura.”
The Lord be praised Alex, thanks to my local fellowship CRBC and the supporters of AM you do now…
