Here’s a piece written by my friend Jerry of Faces Like Flint ministry who actually does street preaching every weekend in Louisville, KY with The Way of the Master methodology. So you see he has an informed and interesting take on what Bell is ridiculing in his Nooma video “Bullhorn Guy.”

And as I was telling Jerry this expose on Rob Bell of the neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church brings to light the hypocrisy of these men. Whenever they are criticized, out of one side of their mouths they complain that we’re being unloving “fundies,” while out of the other side of his mouth Bell has no problem demeaning what brothers like Jerry are doing for our Lord. Remember – ”And the Master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that My House may be filled.’ ” (Luke 14:23)

But then again this is just Jesus revealing the true character of these Hollow Men of the Emergent rebellion against the authority of the Bible like Rob Bell. Well look at that, those who shout tolerance really aren’t so tolerant after all, are they? Gotcha.
