It’s website Mission Statement tells us that “Concordia University Wisconsin is a Lutheran higher education community committed to helping students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and in the world. CUW is affiliated with the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod; a most conservative denomination.

Earlier I had placed the link to a video apparently produced online by a “Nate the Fate,” which was done by some Pre-Seminary students at CUW. It seemed to be a parody of a Snoop Dogg-style rap video satirizing things to do with the Lutheran Church specifically and Christianity somewhat in general. Christian Research Net made CUW aware of it and now the link seems to have disappeared. Stay tuned though because there is more to come from a source within CUW itself.

Now think for a moment, in four years these guys will be pastors, if the Lord doesn’t intervene ala Acts 5. O, and by the way, the two adults who appear just past the halfway point in this “satire” video linked earlier happen to be Rev. Steven N. Smith,who is the Campus Pastor and Assistant Professor of Theology, while the other would be Rev. Dr. Timothy H. Maschke, head of the Theology Department, thought by many on campus Concordia University Wisconsin’s finest theologian.

This is what leadership at CUW think passes for humor within our Lord’s Church which He purchased with His Own blood? It is a very sad example at best…
