Over at Christian Post we find the story “Canada Anglicans Reject Blessing Same-Sex Unions” where CP correspondent Lillian Kwon informs us:

Anglican delegates of the Church of Canada rejected the blessing of same-sex unions on Sunday after voting on the hotly debated issue was deferred for a day.

Well, at least for now…

The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. Fools Preparing To Bless What God Has Already Condemned

Kwon then goes on to say:

The resolution that would have enabled priests to conduct blessing ceremonies for gay couples who already married in civil ceremonies was defeated by a narrow vote. Lay and clergy delegates voted in favor while the House of Bishops voted against it. Majority rule is required in all three orders – laity, clergy, and bishops.

The vote came a day after some 300 delegates at the national meeting of the General Synod – the Anglican Church of Canada’s highest governing body – agreed that same-sex blessings do not conflict with the “core doctrines” of the church (Online source)

As many Canadian readers of Apprising Ministries already know that their nation is dear to me as my late mom was from Sydney, Nova Scotia. Sadly, it’s only a matter of time before the spiritually spineless in leadership within the Anglican Church caves in on this issue. I know because I happen to live in New Hampshire home for the openly gay apostate Episcopal “Bishop” Gene Robinson.

Look carefully as many of these fools have already “agreed that same-sex blessings do not conflict with the ‘core doctrines’ of the church.” Well, yes and no. No, pathetically this actually doesn’t conflict with the semi-pelagian man-love of the new evangelicalism spreading as a malignant cancer within the dying Episcopal/Anglican church. And yes, this most certainly does conflict with the core doctrines of the universal (Greek: katholikos) Church of Jesus Christ.

First of all, I must be honest here. The fact that we are even arguing this doctrine is ludicrous, which is why I have referred to such things as “lunacy in the Lord’s Name.” That said, let’s see if we can help the spiritually obtuse think this through. Our text clearly says – For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. Using proper hermeneutics, from the historical-grammatical context, it patently obvious we are talking about a man and a woman.

Borrowing from the Apostle Paul–I am out of my mind to talk like this–and meaning no disrespect, imagine where the human race would be today if God had created the human reproductive system as He has and then put a same-sex couple in the Garden. If the light still hasn’t come on, then we ask: Who is the Creator? Answer: Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He said Himself, quoting His Scripture – “at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female’ ” (Mark 10:6). So marriage is defined by the Creator Himself as a male and a female.

Unfortunately these fools will keep stumbling around in the dark following the corrupt dictates of their unregenerate hearts until perhaps you should seek the “god” of a “pastor” and “church planter” in the emerging church by the name of Jay Bakker:

“The more I follow grace, the more I’m drawn to him [God], the more I’m willing to stand up for people being persecuted,” says Jay today. “This sounds so churchy, but I felt like God spoke to my heart and said ‘[homosexuality] is not a sin.’ ”

You know, it really is tragic that the learned need to be taught by an unschooled no one like me who is just dumb enough to show them what God has already said. A word to these wise, that’s the best Source for your doctrine. And one other thing while I have your attention; the foolish idea of phony priests who are soon (only a matter of time) “to conduct blessing ceremonies for gay couples,” is a really bad idea. Jesus, your Creator, has already told you:

“If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act.”
(Leviticus 20:13)

But Where Are The Real Men Of God Today?

I close this by bringing in a real man of God, the Prince of Preachers, Charles Spurgeon. And O just look at how the evangelical leader will loudly and publicly praise him; well, at least until he is called upon to act like him. Spurgeon said:

Since Christ is the Head of His Body, the Church, He alone can determine doctrines for her. Nothing is to be received as Divinely warranted except it comes with His stamp upon it. It is nothing to the faithful servant of Jesus Christ that a certain dogma comes down to him with the gray antiquity of the ages t make it venerable. Like a sensible man, the Christian respects antiquity, but like a loyal subject of the King, he does not bow before antiquity as to let it become ruler in Zion instead of the living Christ.

A multitude of good men may meet together, and they may, in their judgment propound a dogma and assert it to be essential and undoubted, and they may even threaten perils most abundant to those who receive not their verdict; but if the dogma was not authorized long before they decided it–if it was not written in the Book, the decision of the learned council amounts to nothing.

All the fathers and doctors and divines and confessors put together cannot add a word to the faith once delivered unto the saints; yea, I venture to say that the unanimous assent of all the saints in Heaven and earth would not suffice to make a single doctrine binding upon the conscience unless Jesus had so determined.

For those who may not remember Spurgeon would go on to put his life where his mouth was as he stood strong for Christ in what came to be known as The Downgrade Controversy. Not so with today’s effete evangelical leaders who say nothing here in The New Downgrade No-Controversy as apostasy rages through their ranks as quickly as an Oklahoma wildfire. But even Dr. Walter Martin said in his 1987 lecture “The Cult of Liberal Theology” in Canada:

The American Christian Church is in full blown apostasy and I’m sorry to tell you that here in Canada the disease is pandemic.

That was 20 years ago. Do you seriously think that it’s better now? It’s way worse. Why in the Episcopal Church here in America we now have a priestess who tells us she’s a Muslim and a Christian. Well, people didn’t listen to Dr. Martin and so ten years ago God allowed the Terranova project and the birth of the neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church movement which is the awful acrimonious offspring of the original cult of liberal theology. You won’t listen now; just what do you think will come next?

I’ll tell you. You will see the full-blown reverse of the Reformation and a return to repugnant rituals of the spiritual bondage inherent within apostate Roman Catholicism.
