New breed new evangelical—and some say of the Emergent Church—pastor and church planter Tadd Grandstaff has responded, in what might be described as a sticking fingers in one’s ears and yelling sort of way, to recent criticism by whining:

I will no longer address my critics [period]. One thing I have learned about negative critics…they are always right [ALWAYS], and if you don’t engage in their argument then somehow you are less spiritual, less biblically founded, less spirit-driven, and you become the prideful and arrogant one.

Of all the negative critic blogs I have read the last few days…all I see is men who are full of pride, who are convinced that their way is the only way, and that this generation is full of false teaching and false doctrine. (Online source)

“Critic(s)” he referred to as “blogging cowards” I might add. So who’s the “coward” now Tadd? Let me see if I can get this straight. If one has a negative statement then, according to you, it is immediately wrong. And if we should happen to engage in that argument then we are somehow “less spiritual, less biblically founded, less spirit-driven, and [then] become the prideful and arrogant one.”

Ah, now I see. So as a “negative critic,” at least in your lofty and superior erudition, I am the one who is “less spiritual, less biblically founded, less spirit-driven, and [have] become the prideful and arrogant one.” Right; when we agree with you and your hero Perry Noble, then we will no longer be prideful. Tadd, can you see the plank yet? O, and the obligatory peace right on back dude…
