As you can see in the Apprising Ministries article Rob Bell On The Emerging Issue of Homosexuality: Mum’s the Word pastor Rob Bell, an icon in the postliberal cult of the Emergent Church, tells practicing homosexuals that “God loves you just as you are. Period.” Well, over at Slice of Laodicea Ingrid Schlueter points out that apparently “the gay Wisconsin Cream City Chorus” has gone emerging and come up with an alternative, but logical, twist on this love of the self i.e. mankind-lovers (see-2 Timothy 3:2).

Schlueter writes:

Today I received an announcement from the gay Wisconsin Cream City Chorus inviting local residents who believe in diversity to join the songsters of Sodom. Included in the announcement was this “signature song” that they sing at each concert. After reading the lyrics, I thought it might just be something evangelicals could use in seeker churches today. It could be sung while sitting in the leather theater seats at church. No need to rise for this hymn. I give you just two stanzas of this amazing piece of music… (Online source)

Here’s a sample of the lyrics – “I’m beautiful and capable of being the best me I can, And I love myself, just the way I am.” *wiping the tears from my eyes* You can read the rest of her post here. O, why the tears? Well, aside from the strain of wretching up my lunch, we begin to weep as we consider the following sober words from Dr. John MacArthur.

As a real pastor-teacher sent by Christ Jesus he sums up the tragic truth concerning quasi-Christians like Rob Bell, who are either too afraid, or do not love someone enough to share what God has said in His Word. MacArthur has correctly stated, “One of the big issues is homosexuality in the emerging church; they don’t want to take a position on homosexuality… A homosexual will not inherit the Kingdom of God; that’s pretty clear” (see-1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
