MAY WE NEVER FORGET THE SIMPLICITY OF THE GOSPEL
By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Nov 16, 2008 in Devotions
O our Father in Heaven, the Church today, which you purchased with Your Own blood, is coming under increasing attack on multiple fronts. We see it from without by unbelievers who would hope to silence our testimony for Christ; and we see it from within through false brethren trying to please the world.
Our Lord, our God, please strengthen us through Your Spirit that we may stand strong through mounting adversity from without. Father, guard your people against the confusion sown by those counterfeits who claim to be sent by You; and, may we never forget the beautiful simplicity of Your Gospel:
[Jesus Christ] was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification. (Romans 4:25, NASB)
