Isn’t It Odd That Those Who Embrace Mystery Know Biblical Christianity Is Wrong

A while back Apprising Ministries told you that Emergence Christianity up-and-coming postmodern philosopher/theologian Peter Rollins with be hooking up with his friend Emerging Church icon Rob Bell for Bell’s “pastor’s conference” in July. Peas of the same corrupt spiritual pod, Bell has even done the foreword for Rollins’ latest book The Orthodox Heretic and Other Impossible Tales.

Below Rollins tells us that he’s:

very excited and honored to be speaking alongside Rob Bell in his upcoming conference Poets, prophets and preachers. Rob Bell possess a unique ability to blend penetrating insight, intelligence and accessibility in a way that has rightfully earned him the reputation of being amongst the most influential Christian voices in the world today. If Rollins, considered by Emergent Africa among “the key motivators” of the Emerging rebellion against Sola Scriptura wasn’t on your Emergent Church evangelical radar screen before, after the exposure he’ll receive from working with the Elvis of Emergence Rob Bell, Peter Rollins is sure to be afterward. Ya know, the Apostates-R-Us now setting up shop right within the mainstream of nearly spiritually comatose evanjellyfish really owe guys like Bell a debt of gratitude.  

Notables names that include quasi-Buddhist Ken Wilbur, Living Spiritual Teacher and “Progessive Christian” scholar Marcus Borg, along with his “Christian” pal John Dominic Crossan who feels the Body of our Lord Jesus may even have been Food for dogs. O, thank you Rob that men like this are now being listened to by impressionable youth within Christ’s Church.

And by the way, I first saw this video of Crossan below at the website of another friend of Peter Rollins, Adele Sakler aka Existential Punk; a practicing lesbian “Christ-follower” who happens to be co-leader of Richmond Emergent Cohort and head of the Emergent Church group Queermergent, and who gives a hat tip to Rollins for bringing it to her attention.
