Stealing The Christian Faith Right From Under Your Noses 

Today’s post Why Christianity 21? from Tony Jones over at his blog at the interspiritual website Beliefnet concerns an upcoming conference that “hosted” by Jones and quasi-universalist Doug Pagitt, pastor of the Emergent Church where he is “theologian in residence.”

Just further illustration that men like Jones and Pagitt, who can’t even see even see orthodoxy from their nebulous neighborhood, are part of an inclusive interfaith/interspiritual agenda taking over the visible church:

Next fall, Doug and I are hosting a learning party in the Twin Cities for people who love Christ, love Christianity, and are interested in the future. The two of us have been given the microphone a lot in the past decade, and we began our event company with the express intent of giving the mic to others.

Our first few events have spotlighted one or two presenters, but for Christianity21, we wanted to follow the excellent example of TED Talks and give some of the most provocative and innovative voices in the faith 21 minutes each to communicate their passion…

And, as well as their presentations, all 21 of these Voices will be in a pulpit somewhere in the Twin Cities that Sunday morning,… We also thought it’s high time that speaker/authors like me, Doug, Joe Myers, Shane Claiborne, Peter Rollins and others should be sitting behind the registration table,…

Sure; *wink* *nudge* O, it’s just a coincidence how the same old names just “happen” to keep popping up having these same connections. Consider Peter Rollins, fast becoming the darling of Emergence Christianity, who’s just now being discovered by many ’round many Emerging Church circles.

Take a look at Emergence Pastor Rob Bell To Have Friend Peter Rollins In Conference and you’ll be able see that Jones, Pagitt, and now even Rollins, are no longer on the outskirts of mainstream evangelicalism. You best realize that, especially for your evangelical youth, these folks ARE evangelicalism.
