J. RANDALL EASTER: HOMOSEXUALITY AMONG SIN OF OUR TIMES
By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Jun 29, 2009 in Homosexuality/"Christian", Jay Bakker, Quotes
The word homosexual is derived from two Greek words.
The first word denotes the active role of sexuality and the second word denotes the passive role of sexuality. Thus, the word homosexuality confronts that active and the passive side of this sin. A few things need to be said about homosexuality. First, it is a sin just like the other sins (lying, murder, disobedient, sexual immoral, etc.). Secondly, as loudly as the law cries out for murderers to repent and liars to repent, the law cries out for the homosexual to repent. Thirdly, homosexuality is contrary to the sound doctrine of the gospel.
Fourthly, there is just as much hope for the homosexual to be saved (converted) as there is for any other law-breaker. Lastly, men can say all manner of things and bring forth countless opinions, but what the Scriptures say cannot be changed. Whether in this text or in 1 Corinthians 6:9 or in Leviticus 18:22 it is the same. Homosexuals are in sin and unless they repent they will not see nor enter the kingdom of God. (Online source)
