Only by looking to eternity past do we gain the proper perspective to fully grasp the magnitude of our salvation. Before the Creation of the world, before anything was brought into being, God already had His plan of salvation set in motion. Who would begin an enterprise as enormous as the Creation of the universe—and the salvation of a people—without a specific plan for its successful completion?

Certainly not God. Before time began, He drafted His plan for all that would come to pass. To be sure, God did not look down the tunnel of time to see what man would do so that He might make His choices based upon man’s decisions. That would not have been planning but reacting. The truth is, the all-knowing God has never looked ahead to learn anything. He already knows everything.
