Out Of The Heart The Mouth Speaks

Apprising Ministries has told you e.g. in Jay Bakker Reflects The Sad Condition Of The Visible Church that gay-affirming “pastor” Jay Bakker heads up a rather rapscallion, and largely Biblically illiterate, bunch in the sinfully ecumenical neo-liberal cult of the Emerging Church who’ve crowned themselves Outlaw Preachers (OPs).

This is another reason I’ve been warning you that evanjellyfish is only just beginning to pay a heavy price for its foolish embrace of the sinfully ecumenial Emerging Church aka Emergent Church.

Bakker and his ignominious OPs received a real boost when he was included in the recent apostasia-palooza Big Tent Christianity conference among such EC royalty as Living Spiritual Teacher and Emerging Church guru Brian McLaren, heretical universalist pastor Doug Pagitt, and his equally heretical progressive “theologian in residence” Tony Jones—who together comprise the unholy trinity of this sinfully ecumenical Emergence Christianity.

One of the most insipid of the OPs is the vainglorious Phil Shepherd, who refers to himself as the Whiskey Preacher. You might remember I introduced you to this poor excuse of a pastor in Emerging Church Of The Future With The Whiskey Preacher when I brought to your attention a segment from the Fighting for the Faith program of Christian apologist Chris Rosebrough on Pirate Christian Radio where he interviews Shepherd.

During the interview, which had zero to do with me, it proved quite revealing to see how easily the loving and tolerant mask falls away when Shepherd says of me—and not my belief system—but of me personally:

I will tell you that I have a heck of a lot more respect for you [Chris Rosebrough] than Ken, at least you show up and talk to people. Yeah, you know, I personally think he’s a coward; he takes pot shots… He just takes potshots; I think he’s a coward.

Shepherd’s sour taste is also indicitive of the rotten fruit of Doug Pagitt as well because  Phil Shepherd even used to be a member of the “Teaching Team” at Pagitt’s Porch. Well, today Shepherd decided to reveal some more of his hateful heart as, out of the blue, he would make the dumb decision to attack me yet again via the tweet below:

Really Phil; “all” of my time is spent “digging up sh*t”? Well now, just how would you know that Phil? Answer: You don’t. And I’ll be looking forward to you proving from Scripture that what I’m writing about the other apostates you surround yourself with is untrue. Bonne chance bro.

Nah, like I said in Brite Divinity To Grow Darker With Whiskey Preacher, sadly people like Phil Shepherd have no business even teaching a Sunday School class, let alone pastoring and lecturing in ostensibly Christian settings; not even having a form of godliness while denying it’s power, the wise Christian will avoid such people (see—2 Timothy 3:5).
