HELLBOUND

Yeah, you’ll see me on a Friday night, free and loose — I’m doin’ it right;
A case of beer and I’m on my way — been cooped up, now I’m gonna play.
My hair’s too long, so what that to you — I’m talkin’ loud, what you gonna do;
I’m always ready for the next go ’round, it doesn’t matter ’cause I’m hellbound…
Nothin’ ever went right for me, so there’s nothin’ left to believe;
Folks like you — what you done for me, just close your eyes so that you can’t see
At night when no one else is around — I cry because I’m hellbound…
The hurt and loneliness that I’m livin’ in, in a place you’ve never been;
You criticize, that’s all you do — well, I don’t like me any more than you do.
How many more have to die before we begin to cry;
Why don’t we try to reach out — that’s what this life is all about.
Church, it’s time to open your eyes, you have to stop this foolish waste of lives;
The blood of Jesus that you’ve found — can stop this train that’s hellbound…
The hurt and loneliness that they’re livin’ in, in a place you’ve never been;
You criticize, that’s all you do — well, they need Jesus just as much as you do.
The blood of Jesus that you’ve found — can stop this train that’s hellbound;
The blood of Jesus that you’ve found — turned the train so it’s heavenbound…
