What’s with all the hoopla and hysteria about the date December 21, 2012? No, mainstream media, it’s not about the Mayan calendar predicting the end of the world. But it is the culmination of a 25-year plan in the making that those who call themselves spiritual New Agers have been anxiously and joyously awaiting.

Since 1987, they’ve been looking forward to this date; the beginning of something called the New Age Harmonic Convergence. In the New Age worldview, today signals the dawning of a new age; a global mystical paradigm shift that signals the beginning of a new world order. And here’s the alarming thing: There is a growing circle of evangelical Christian leaders who not only are buying into this, they are re-packaging it into a strange sort of prophecy that they are selling to their followers.
