WHY THE TWISTED ARMINIANISM AT THE HEART OF THE NEW EVANGELICAL INFOMERCIAL GOSPEL SO EASILY EMBRACES THE APOSTATE CHURCH OF ROME

I receive many letters each week here at Apprising Ministries. And there is much confusion about the evangelical–ostensibly Protestant–camp within the American Christian Church. Why people wonder is it so easily being swallowed up by the serpentine ecumenicism of the new evangelical infomercial gospel of self, the repainted social gospel of the neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church and heading back to accepting apostate Roman Catholicism as an acceptable expression of the Christian faith?

The answer is really quite simple actually. It begins in 1 Peter 4:17 – For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (NASB) Taken now with 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 – They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie.

As this is happening of course even genuine believers get caught in the crossfire of how God’s just judgment then plays out within the Christian Church in this country. And at the rotten root of these doctrines of demons currently being spread by seducing spirits through men like Purpose Driven Pope Rick Warren, Erwin McManus, Guru Brian McLaren, and Rob Bell, one of his spiritually defective devotees, is a twisted Arminianism which is surreptitiously centered on man.

Most particularly in the American Christian Church we are witnessing the outright rejection of the proper Biblical understanding of man’s total depravity which then results in a worship of his alleged free will. The late Dr. D. James Kennedy, who has recently graduated to be with the Lord he loved and defended so well, now explains:

Once you acknowledge free will, which Luther and all of the other Reformers denied, then you open the door for all of the other various Roman Catholic heresies that came along as well as that one [alleged free will to choose God]…

Are total depravity and free will compatible? Yes and no…“free will” can mean one of two things. If we’re talking about the sense in which free will exists in every human being, whether regenerate or unregenerate, then we can say yes; obviously they’re compatible because unregenerate people do make choices. That’s the sense in which man is free to choose whatever he wants to choose. All men are free to do that [in relation to every day life]…

But in the sense in which–the significant sense–in which [free will is] used in the Bible, which is man is free to do what he ought to do, which is repent of his sins, turn from his wickedness, surrender his life to Christ an follow him in godliness; man-unregenerate man is not free to do that. The more he hears of it the more he dislikes it; and his will and heart and mind must be changed for him to do that.
