TONY JONES, PETER ROLLINS AND ROB BELL

DOWN WITH SOLA SCRIPTURA!
If you think that the Emerging Church aka Emergent Church, now morphing into Emergence Christianity, is dead or somehow is outside the mainstream of evangelicalism I admonish you in the Lord to think again.
For example consider Tony Jones Speaking at Cornerstone Festival, and along with his quasi-universalist pastor Doug Pagitt, is behind an upcoming Emergence conference detailed in Christianity 21: Emerging Voices Of A Pseudo-Christian Faith.
There such EC luminaries as Shane Claiborne, and Peter Rollins, will be “sitting behind the registration table, handing out nametags.” We’re told that some of the most important voices for the future of Christianity, such as the Empress of Emergence Phyllis Tickle, as well as “Reverends” Nanette Sawyer and Nadia Bolz-Weber, who feels it’s important for other pastors to know that before she was “an ELCA pastor” she was “a professional f**k-up.”
As a matter of fact, a friend brought to me attention that Phyllis Tickle will be along with Tony Jones at this year’s Cornerstone festival. If the EC is dead it seems the unlawful firm of Jones and Tickle missed the memo because The Emerging of Christianity is the title of their 3 sessions together:
THE EMERGING OF CHRISTIANITY
Tony Jones & Phyllis Tickle (3 sessions)
As the world changes quickly around us, the faith we practice is not immune from these changes. So, how is Christianity changing now – The theology? The practices? The way we “do church”? Join Phyllis Tickle and Tony Jones as they explore the phenomenon known as the “emerging church movement” and discuss both the promise and perils of the movement. (Online source)
And also note This is not a conference, this is dynamite from the aforementioned Rollins, whom his friend Rob Bell calls “one of the freshest voices” he’s heard; based upon the profanity-laced Emergence Christianity Ikon Peter Rollins And Judas Say Happy [Bleep] Easter we tend to think here Bell rings true.
Below Rollins informs us and then predicts:
Not long to go before I will be speaking with Rob Bell and Shane Hipps at the Poets, Prophets and Preachers conference. This promises to be an explosive time. I am confident that this conference will be an important contribution to the ongoing conversation concerning how Christianity will look in the 21st century. (Online source)
