MORMON CHURCH: MIKE HUCKABEE NOT ALONE IN IGNORANCE
By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Dec 29, 2007 in Current Issues
Apprising Ministries dedicates this post to Joel Osteen because he is certainly not alone in his ignorance of the actual teachings of the Mormon Church either. Consider the following from the NY Times:
Mike Huckabee insists he spoke out of ignorance, not malice against the faith of a Republican rival, Mitt Romney, when he asked, “Don’t Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?”

As you’ll see, right within the above piece and from leading Mormon Church apologist Robert Millet, the answer to Huckabee’s innocent question is simple enough to please even Joel Osteen: Why yes; they really do.
From the official website of the Mormon Church:
Jess L. Christensen, Institute of Religion director at Utah State University, Logan, Utah. On first hearing, the doctrine that Lucifer and our Lord, Jesus Christ, are brothers may seem surprising to some—especially to those unacquainted with latter-day revelations. But both the scriptures and the prophets affirm that Jesus Christ and Lucifer are indeed offspring of our Heavenly Father and, therefore, spirit brothers. (Online source)
