Apprising Ministries brings to you to an interesting piece concerning emerging church philosopher/theologian Peter Rollins Darling Of Emergence Christianity.

For those who’ve actually listened to Peter Rollins, which you can do for example in Adele Sakler And Peter Rollins, you’ll know that the picture to the left represents what Rollins and others in the egregiously ecumenical Emerging Church aka Emergent Church—morphing into Emergence Christianity—are doing to the genuine Christian faith.

In the Lord I say that it’s well past time for the Body of Christ to take the gloves off with such as these. Along this line Christian author Mike Wittmer tells us in theological porn:

I have spent the past few days reading Peter Rollins:  How (Not) to Speak of God, The Fidelity of Betrayal, and The Orthodox Heretic.  I say it’s like reading theological porn because it’s titillating, it makes you feel dirty, and you could lose your soul doing it…

I’ll post my evaluation later this week, but for now see if you can spot any similarities between Pete and Friedrich Schleiermacher (emergent ideas aren’t new, they are just recycled)… (Online source)
