The Gospel Has Now Been Changed

In this short quote that follows below the Prince of Preachers Charles Spurgeon speaks some absolute truth, which is so vital today, to this timid generation of hirelings posing as leaders within increasingly squishy everything goes evanjellyfish. Now you may know that in something called the Downgrade Controversy Spurgeon himself was dealing with what would go on to become the original Cult of Liberalism.

As I said recently in Enemy Troops Steadily Advancing In Church, we just might be living in the most gelatinous generation of Christians ever; and when evangelicalism embraced the sinfully ecumenical neo-liberal cult of the Emerging Church—a veritable Trojan Horse full of heresy—it made a horrible mistake, this EC rebellion against the Bible being so central to Satan’s Ecumenical Church Of Deceit (ECoD).

You need to remember that the major pillars of the ECoD, the Rick Warren Purpose Driven good ol’ American “know-how” crowd, the Rob Bell emerging and seeking spiritual encounters social reformer set, and the Joel Osteen Word Faith/Kingdom Now brood, are all basically but different arms of the same Church Growth Movement, which is why they have such similar man-centered “gospels.”

Christian apologist Chris Rosebrough, host of Fighting for the Faith on Pirate Christian Radio, put his finger on the spiritual problem in his insightful post Ecclesia Immunodeficiency Heresy when he says:

The Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is an absolutely terrifying pathogen. It’s almost as if this virus studied the human body and its defenses in order to find the achilles heel. And it succeeded. HIV the virus that causes AIDS doesn’t attack the human body like other diseases, it destroys the human immune system so that its victims cannot ward of the most common diseases.  Those who die of AIDS don’t die from the HIV virus.

Instead, the HIV virus destroys the human body’s natural defenses and then lets other diseases like the common cold, or the flu finish off its victims. It’s a manically ingenious pathogen. The great adversary of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His church has learned the lessons of HIV and has crafted an almost identical attack against the Body of Christ.  Since, I am one of the early discovers of this pathogen mimicking Satanic attack I have named it the “Ecclesia Immunodeficiency Heresy” (EIH).

EIH like the HIV virus works by attacking the immune system of the Body of Christ.  Once that immune system is effectively destroyed or rendered powerless then Satan destroys the host congregation by introducing ancient heresies and false doctrines. With  no effective immune system in place to put down these heresies and false gospels, the host congregation comes under the control of the Devil. In the final stages of this disease, the host congregation becomes the breeding ground for Satanic missionaries who are carriers of EIH.

These EIH missionaries are then sent out to other congregations in order to spread this disease around the world and thereby silence sound doctrine and the proclamation of the true good news of salvation by grace alone through faith alone by Christ’s work alone. (Online source)

Well, I’m here to tell you that EIH is right now quickly spreading throughout the church visible carried by the current fad of practicing corrupt Counter Reformation Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM), which incontrovertibly flowered within long apostate Roman Catholicism—mother to the ECoD. This spurious CSM is now masquerading as the so-called Spiritual Formation ala Living Spiritual Teacher and Quaker mystic Richard Foster along with his trusty spiritual twin Dallas Willard.

The common thing that all of these sectors of the ECoD now have is “praying” in an altered state of consciousness; whether it’s called practicing the “silence and solitude” of Contemplative/Centering Prayer, or “praying in tongues.” The fact is, practiced long enough, eventually it will quite literally alter a person’s brain chemistry; and it definitely opens up the long-time practioners to spiritual deception.

And as one becomes “transformed” [means: your perception of reality changes], which the Buddhists refer to as “satori,” the proper view of the fall and original sin fades until they receive the revelation that God is madly in love with man because He already indwells each. This is why you’re noticing that it’s more and more rare to hear the Gospel of repentance and forgiveness of sins in Jesus’ Name preached.

I can tell you from monitoring Intel along the Inernet Front of this spiritual Vietnam of a Truth War that the various sectors of the ECoD are converging to preach a gospel contrary to the one [the Apostles] preached to [us] (cf. Galatians 1:8). It can basically be summarized as follows:

God loves you so much that He created you for a great purpose. He offers you hope and a wonderful plan for your life. So you need to discover the dream that God has placed in your heart and unlock your destiny.

He wants you to follow the lifestyle of Jesus and learn His ways enabling you to be a co-creator with God because we’re the King’s kids. Then together we will help Him make the world a better place, just as God dreams for it to be.

For those of you who have been raised up on this pseudo-Christianity preached by these Apostles Of Unbelief In This New Downgrade, with its pathetic mystic mush god with a man-shaped hole in his/her/it’s heart, I present for your edification the words of a real man of God so that you might compare.

C.H. Spurgeon said:

To promulgate a dry creed, and go over certain doctrines, and expound and enforce them logically, but never to upbraid them for their sins, never to tell them of their danger, never invite them to a Savior with tears and entreaties – what a powerless work this is! We want laborers, not loiterers.

Now, see what the laborer brings with him. It is a sickle. His communications with the corn are sharp and cutting. He cuts right through, cuts the corn down, and casts it on the ground. The man whom God means to be a laborer in His harvest must not come with delicate words and flattering doctrines concerning the dignity of human nature and the excellence of self-help and of earnest endeavors to rectify our lapsed condition and the like.

Such mealymouthedness may God curse, for it is the curse of this age. The honest preacher calls a sin a sin and a spade a spade and says to men, ‘You are ruining yourselves; while you reject Christ you are living on the borders of Hell, and ere long you will be lost to all eternity. There shall be no mincing of the matter; you must escape from the wrath to come by faith in Jesus or be driven forever from God’s presence and from all hope of joy.’

The preacher must make his sermons cut. Our sickle is made on purpose to cut. The Gospel is intended to wound the conscience and go right through to the heart, with the design of separating the soul from sin and self, as the corn is divided from the soil.

Jesus says, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” (John 12:32)
