While spiritual darkness continues to creep across apostatizing evangelicalism in The New Downgrade, a major part of my commission as pastor-teacher here Apprising Ministries becomes helping to apprise you of developing trends within the church visible during this time parallel to Amos 8:11-12. As a leading online apologetics and discernment labor in the Lord, for the time I may have left, I’ll continue reminding you about the vital importance of the proper Christian spirituality of sola Scriptura; as in recent pieces like Apprising Ministries Hits Mark On The Wild Goose Festival, Critical To Know Your Bible! and Jay Bakker, Homosexuality, And Gospel Reductionism.

You need to know that there’s a rapidly growing syncretism—combining of beliefs, e.g. Chrislam; and adhering to what the text of the Bible actually says is our safest course now that myriad serpentine deceptions are slithering deeply into the mainstream evangelical camp. Much of this can traced to the perverted practice of critical thinking skills-numbing corrupt Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM), such as that taught by Living Spiritual Teacher and Quaker mystic Richard Foster along with his spiritual twin and Southern Baptist minister Dallas Willard. Again, another bad by-product of evangelicalism’s embrace of the sinfully ecumenical neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church aka the Emerging Church, of which that dubious duo were key mentors.

This spiritual Russian roulette of highly subjective spurious CSM was a core doctrine of the EC from its hatching in hell and forms the neo-Gnostic foundation of its new postmodern version of Progressive Christian theology under their spiritual circus “big tent” Emergence Christianity. One of the biggest sycretists within evangelicalism is the religious chameleon Purpose Driven Pope Rick Warren. Warren is largely responsible for another arm of the Church Growth Movement (CGM) running parallel to the EC, the Purpose Driven/Seeker Driven pragmatic prostitution of the Christian faith; both the PD/SD and EC sectors of the CGM now openly embrace the CSM of Foster-Willardism.

It’s critical for you to realize this if you want to understand why doctrinal lines are so quickly, and completely, being obliterated and why Word Faith Heretics Like Creflo Dollar Draw Nearer To Evangelical Acceptance. Since it’s not the subject of this article, I encourage you to make the time to actually examine the evidence within that piece. Here I’ll simply tell you that the spiritual glue fastening these people together is the crown jewel of CSM, a form of meditation in an altered state of consciousness commonly known as Contemplative/Centering Prayer (CCP). This is what all the talk about spending time in “silence” is all about; I wish in the Lord the purveyors of this mysticism-lite would follow their own advice and remain in silence.

However, such as these persist in their propagation of pietistic and ascetic “spiritual disciplines,” which flowered in the antibiblical monastic traditions that would produce the theology of apostate Roman Catholicism (hello!). Those who persist in prolonged practice of CSM eventually receive a delusion that God has a “dream” to make the world a better place by bringing all factions of Christianity—and for the really deluded all religions—together as one. For example we take PDL pope Rick Warren’s boast that: “I see absolutely zero reason in separating my fellowship from anybody”[1]. What arrogance; Rick Warren, one of the most recognized pastors in the Southern Baptist Convention—allegedly the largest Protestant denomination in the United States—knows better than God’s Church Reformers?

I think not; especially when you consider Rick Warren And Purpose Driven Roman Catholics and his overall position on the Roman Catholic Church. You need this background in order to understand how it is that the mainstream of the visible church is becoming nearly as ecumenical as the mortally wounded mainline pretending to be Protestant denominations. Years and years of conference after conference featuring the same old speakers telling themselves, and their spiritually obtuse followers, about revelations they’ve supposedly received in their private times with God. Add to this a relentless barrage against sola Scriptura from its own publishing houses and you have the recipe of this great falling away happening right now before your eyes.

This gives you the proper landscape upon which to begin surveying what’s been going on within evanjellyfish as I bring to your attention BGEA Presents Cindy Trimm Humanitarian Award:

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has presented a humanitarian award to Dr. Cindy Trimm, founder of Trim International, best-selling author and former senator. BGEA recognized Trimm for her leadership role in enhancing the spiritual direction and well-being of the Southern California Basin through what is now called Trimm University.

Trimm University is on a mission to equip ministers, professionals, and industry-specific thought leaders to impact all strata of society. “We are committed to making this world a better place…,” says Trimm, who is also a minister, motivational speaker and radio show host. I highlighted for you the new evangelical gospel of making the world “as God dreams for it to be.” Lest there be any doubt that this lunacy in the Lord’s Name actually occured, consider the below from Trimm’s website where, understandably, she’s advertising herself now using the credibility just extended to her by the highly respected evangelical outfit BGEA:

BGEA extends their humanitarian award to Cindy Trimm recognizing “her leadership role in enhancing the spiritual direction” of the Southern California Basin; and just what kind of spiritual direction are we going to get from Trimm? Well, I’ll show you so you can see it for yourself. First however, Cindy Trimm ought to sound familiar to you as a reader of Apprising Ministries; that’s because one of Trimm’s disciples just happens to be The Doctor of Destiny, Word Faith pastrix LaVerne Adams.

You may recall I told you in Rick Warren Presents Us Our Destiny Doctor that Warren wrote the foreword to her book Driven By Destiny (DBD):

And as you can see in Decade Of Destiny With Rick Warren, perhaps it was simply an odd coincidence, but interestingly enough it turned out that Rick Warren would kick off his dream of some Decade of Destiny on the very day her self-published book dropped on 10/10/10. From my personal copy of DBD I can tell you that Adams informs us that her mentor “prayer general” Dr. Cindy Trimm was:

a catalyst to move me into a realm of power and faith that delivered me into a [*cue Twilight Zone theme*] deeper dimension of my divine destiny… As an ambassadorial mouthpiece for God, Dr. Trimm’s dynamic style, cutting-edge prayer stategies, and kingdom technologies has profoundly aligned me to take dominion and prosper in every area of my life.

Because of her unique passion to see me empowered to reach my fullest potential my life is royally positioned as a resource that advances the establishment of the Kingdom of God.[2]

You should know that Trimm has even “empowered” pastrix Adams to her “fullest potential” of even being able to speak things into existence, the same as her teacher Trimm:

In closing this, for now, I’m going to leave you with the “spiritual direction” which is apparently so impressive to the BGEA that they just needed to go and present Word Faith heretic Cindy Trimm with an award. Well, buckle up because below you’ll witness Cindy Trimm in action for yourself; check out the “catalyst” whose spiritual direction would produce Dr. Destiny Laverne Adams, who in turn made such an impression upon Rick Warren that he actually sought her out.

You see, in DBD Adams informs us that Warren:

just happened upon one of my articles in the African American Pulpit, while going to be the first Caucasian preacher at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta on Dr. Martin Luther King’s Day 2009. His prompting to reach out to me for counsel affirmed my calling and destiny as spiritual advisor to great people.

Ours is truly a divine connection as I have always been impressed with his ministry and literary work. And now our destinies have been miraculously aligned and driven with purpose.[3]

So now, here’s a little taste of “ambassadorial mouthpiece for God” Dr. Cindy Trimm in her “dynamic style” ala mainstream evangelical Oneness Pentecostal T.D. Jakes dispensing her “cutting-edge prayer stategies, and kingdom technologies” to align us “to take dominion” that we might “prosper in every area” of our lives and become “thought leaders to impact all strata of society.” Take a close look at Trimm’s show, which is pretty standard Word Faith fare e.g. on Trinity Broadcasting Network, the home of heresy.

A transcription follows below to better enable you to fully grasp Trimm’s “spiritual direction,” which the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association deemed so award-worthy and Rick Warren, through his endorsement of Laverne Adams—a disciple of Cindy Trimm—wanted to make sure we’d have as “a very practical plan for not only determining what your God-given destiny is, [and] also provide…to help move [us] forward in fulfilling [our] destiny.” You just can’t make this stuff up as real evangelicalism becomes stranger than fiction:

I’m gonna move to the right. The anointing is gonna shift economics in here. Your finances are gonna have a divine visitation from God. I’m talking about the hand of God getting ready to touch everybody.

I’m gonna move to the right; and a wave of the anointing is gonna hit everybody in here. The hand of God is gonna touch ya. How many of you believe that? How many of you receive that? Cuz a lot of people believe, they don’t wanna receive. Put your hands down, don’t grasp anybody.

You are gonna receive a double portion, you’re gonna receive what God has for you, and you’re gonna pick up your neighbor’s anointing. And I’m gonna prove it; Father, in the Name of Jesus now, Your people have given, they have given willingly. The portals of Heaven have been locked up and closed and constricted, for year after year over every individual’s life.

But I decree and declare now, that they are open, I open them prophetically right now, in the Name of Jesus. Now Father, whatever Heaven has been locked up, because of ignorance, because of withdrawing–Hallelujah–withholding, I decree and declare that the spicket is open. Now Father, like a tsunami, I decree and declare, that You are going to begin to move from my right and left.

I decree and declare, Father, that You would move from the front to the back. Father, as I move across the stage, I decree everyone–Hallelujah–that sees me as I move, will be slain; and you will birth, and you will birth–Father, they will pick up mantles in the realm of the Spirit. I decree and declare, right now, that as I move across the stage–Hallelujah–economics are gonna be shifted, finances are gonna be shifted.

I decree and declare, that the wealth of the wicked is no longer laid up for you; but the wealth of the wicked, is being released. I decree and declare, that winds of the Spirit are beginning to blow; and they’re blowing into your home. I decree and declare, that your sons and daughters–by virtue of the pack of your praise–you are going to birth them into the Kingdom.

You and your sons and daughter are gonna be birthed into the Kingdom, while they’re in prison, they’re gonna be birthed into prison, while they’re in crack houses. Your husbands are gonna come back, your ministries are gonna turn around! I decree and declare, supernatural anointing sweep; [shouting] Father, from my right, to my left! After I move, everybody open your eyes! Hear it is!

[praying in “tongues”] Now Father, in the Name of Jesus, we thank You that here is a shifting, a shifting that is going on in the Kingdom. We thank you that the spirit of Esther is upon each individual; every woman, that You are now transforming. [gradually becoming louder until shouting] You are posturing them, for the next move of God! I decree and declare, from the earth, mantles that have been dropped, they are being picked up! I decree and declare, double portions of the Elijah anointing is being birthed! Every prophet, that is assigned to this time–and this generation–I stir up, stir up, stir up; stir it up! I quicken! I quicken callings! I quicken ministries! I quicken churches! I quicken visions!

Everything that died, because of doubt, because of unbelief! I call you from the grave! I decree and declare–Hallelujah–[unintelligible] are being extended! I decree, the spirit of Jabez, falls upon the women! I decree and declare, that Your hand, is working in them; both to will, and to do, of Your good pleasure! I release, angels on assignment! I assign them, to your ministries, to your houses!

Everything, that this season should bring to you, I decree, every invisible barrier is now destroyed! I decree, you a trailblazer; a prophetic trailblazer, an apostolic trailblazer, a didactic trailblazer, an evangelistic trailblazer, a teaching trailblazer, a natural trailblazer, in the Name of Jesus!

I decree, new territories; new territories–glory–I decree, that the Kingdom, of Heaven, comes! It comes, with force; it comes, with a supernatural anointing! Supernatural God; activate, prophetic destinies, in the Name of Jesus! I close off, the gates, and the doors, to your soul! Eye gate, shut down, to the world; open up, and see the Kingdom! Ear gate, close yourself, and open up, to hear the frequency, of the Spirit! Nose gate, open up! Mouth gate, oh taste and see, the Lord is good!

I anoint, you from the crown, of your head, to the souls of your feet! I decree, channels open; doors open; gates open; in the Name of Jesus! He makes a way, for you! I decree, a shifting; in the Name of Jesus! [pauses, then begins praying in “tongues”] Somebody tell Him, “Yes!” I mean, yes from your heart.
