It’s Time To Fight

In So Take Off Your Gloves! I said the time for using kid gloves with emerging Hollow Men like Rob Bell with their vacuous and nebulous seeker sensitive message to younger people is well past over as the following letter further indicates. The repainted social gospel of the new liberal cult of the Emergent Church wows those who don’t know better, but it reduces our glorious and majestic Christ to merely a cause du jour.

Men who deny the vicarious penal substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ on the Cross like Brian McLaren, who is the one who infected the Bells with his brand of spiritual poison, cannot defend their position from Scripture and this is why they hide behind so-called spiritual disciplines. This is also why they look to eastern religions and the nonsense I cover in Your Evil “True Self” .

We do not need any new movements within the historic orthodox Christian faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3). What we need to do is to take up the Bible and boldly preach the absolute Truth of the unchanging Gospel of Jesus Christ to a nation that is itself hiding behind the false philosophy of so-called postmodernism. Man and women, “postmodernism” is simply an old, old philosophy called relativism.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

World-pleasing compromisers like Rob Bell hide behind it because 1) they have a lack of faith themselves, and 2) they do not have the intestinal fortitude to take the heat that comes to every genuine believer who refuses to back down from Satan’s forces. Or have they not read: Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12, NASB). And if he told the truth this would include Rob Bell as well.

In the following letter, which was entitled “I Think Rob Bell Infected Our Youth Group” by its author, we see yet again the heartbreak and division caused by these emerging vipers as more and more kids are coming under the spell of Bell:

Hi Pastor Ken,

I write you distressed that the youth group at my church has been infected with “rob bell it is”. My teenage son, who is born again, has gotten more involved with the youth group at our church. Now my wife and I see a noticable change in him for the worse. He’s been bringing home Rob Bell CDs that the youth pastor has given him and I’m very concerned he’s heading down a cult-like path.

At the urging of my son, I went to Bells website and downloaded his sermons. After listening to them I was so disturbed I googled Bell to see what others think of him. I was getting red flags throughout his messages. I felt he was spouting what itching ears wanted to hear. I found message boards fawning over Bell and also others who felt as I do.

Then I came across your site and found someone who thinks like I do. I can’t be the only parent who’s contacted you with the same problem. I feel that I do need to confront the pastoral staff at our church and see just how far the sickness has traveled up the line within it.

Unfortunately, our church teaches milk instead of meat. They prize themselves in being like a Starbucks, all the way from the paint color scheme to the coffee bar itself. I was going to this church for my wife and kids because I wanted them to be in church and my wife is uncomfortable with deep study churches like say a church like Dr. John MacArthur.

So right now I study by myself. I need your help and guidance in reaching my son and the church. I’d appreciate your assistance in exposing Rob Bell in such a way that they will listen. I don’t know if it is too late. Any help you have would be appreciated.
