RICK WARREN STARS AS MARTIN LUTHER IN “REFORMATION GENERATION”
By Apprising Administrator on Dec 8, 2006 in Current Issues, Rick Warren
Teleologist over at Calvinistic Fundamentalist picked up a quote from Rick Warren I’d posted at Slice of Laodicea and turned it into a pretty nice little piece. I have previously stated that in my opinion Warren’s theology is a rebirth of semi-pelagianism in Rick Warren: The New Charles Finney.
Here’s a very important comment and question from Teleologist concerning Rick Warren’s man-centered Purpose Driven and social gospel:
God is a sideshow in Warren’s theology… Warren’s ultimate goal is to get everyone working toward how to care for the widow and orphan, support the oppressed, defend the defenseless, care for the sick, assist the poor, speak up for the foreigner, those in prison, basically all the marginalized in society? Where does God fit in that list of grandiose social enterprise?
Good question. As I said in The Purpose Is Driving God Away Warren has now inherited the mantle of American Arminian religious icon from Billy Graham.
